Step into The Allen Asylum Haunted House—Orlando’s most anticipated home-grown horror experience, where screams echo through every season of fear! 🎃
Located in the Bay Hill/South Bay Dr. Phillips area, this terrifying attraction was created by Matt, Amy, and Ashton Allen as a donation-based community haunt that brings neighbors together for a good scare—and a great cause. What began as a family passion project has evolved into a full-scale, movie-quality experience supporting local charities and spreading Halloween spirit throughout Central Florida.
The Asylum’s chilling backstory follows a once-celebrated institution that lost its grip on sanity, leaving behind the haunting echoes of its former patients and their twisted “treatments.”
Each year, The Allen Asylum unveils new spine-tingling scenes, immersive storytelling, and handcrafted sets packed with shocking surprises. Visitors can expect professional sound, lighting, and special effects that make this free-to-enter haunted house one of Orlando’s most unforgettable fright nights.

Welcome To The Allen Asylum
THE LEGEND OF DR. ALLEN
The Allen Asylum was closed in 1925 after it was discovered that Dr. Allen was keeping patients in deplorable conditions and performing experiments on them. He regularly would torture his patients into madness and when they were of no more use, it was off to the electric chair with them.
After authorities forced the asylum to close and relocated all of the patients, Dr. Allen lost his own mind! He was institutionalized but escaped after
6 long years. He vowed he would search out his patients to bring them back to the Asylum. Although you will only find a few of his patients left, those that are still here are some of the craziest and love to terrorize visitors on a nightly basis
